About Us

Living Needs experience in the manufacture and installation of wetrooms and home adaptations extends to bathroom conversions, kitchen adaptations and access aids. Company founder and builder, Richard Saunders, first began creating adaptations for local councils over 25 years ago as RJS Building Services.

Today the two companies work in partnership together offering advice & guidance, a superbly fitted showroom displaying plenty of choices for your warranted installation. The team are happy to offer planning assistance, help and technical advice on all adaptations and wet rooms. Pop into our showroom to see the range of options available or if you prefer we will make a home visit at your convenience. A Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) may be available for some home adaptations including major adaptations such as extensions and structural work to accommodate access doors, stair lifts, shower units etc.

If major adaptations are needed an occupational therapist (OT) will assess and then contact your housing, environmental health officer and sometimes the planning departments of the local council on your behalf. Applications for grants should be made via the OT or social worker to local councils, Environmental Health Department or local Housing Department (for council houses).

We would certainly recommend your firm and your workmen, so thank you from start to finish.
