A common mis-conception in wetroom construction is that tiles / tile adhesive / silicon and grouts achieve a watertight solution, but they DO NOT. Creating a wetroom is certainly NOT a D.I.Y project nor to be entrusted to anyone with an “I’ll give it a try” mentality. Living Needs brings you a wealth of installation experience coupled with in-depth knowledge of drainage solutions, concealed shower valve controls, drainage slope creation, floor re-inforcement and a whole host of other aspects essential for a successful wetroom installation.

Living Needs are experts at ‘waterproof tanking’. A fully tanked room must be achieved to prevent damage to wall/floor substrates and leakages into rooms below. We can provide preformed shower trays designed exclusively for wet room shower installations.

Here at Living needs we use several different tray options to provide the best solution for your particular situation. We recommend the Aqua-Dec tray from IMPEY – a unique flooring solution, which is watertight, strong and robust and AKW’s new Level Best Tuff Form 2 Wet Floor Former which is very versatile suiting many difficult installation situations. Both trays provide consistent gradients with every installation and are suitable for timber, concrete, tiled or un-tiled floors.
